| Course Description |
The Quality Based Selection (QBS) system of procurement is required by the majority of public building owners in the United States. This course will provide insight to the best practices of the QBS procurement process for both professional providers of commissioning, as well as to public owners themselves. |
| Learning Objectives |
Upon completion of the curriculum, the learner will be able to:
- State the purpose and benefit of using the QBS process for procuring public building commissioning services.
- Identify the government organizations that employ QBS for purchasing commissioning services.
- List the benefits enjoyed by the public building owner when a project has been completed that utilized QBS in procuring a commissioning consultant.
- Identify the goals and activities within each phase of QBS for commissioning process.
- Interpret evaluation forms, screening procedures, and ranking methods used in the QBS process.
